Lighting:

2020 removed the lighting adjustment from the windows variables in the latest design versions which we had previously used to help make some great renderings.  Without it we are now getting a lot of washed out renderings, especially with white kitchen cabinets.  Does anyone have any solutions to this issue since the change.  Many of our designers have insisted our IT department go back to 11.6 so they can use window variables again.

Does anyone know if 2020 is resolving the issue or why they changed the option?

Hello Rich,

You are correct, we had removed the “light properties” capabilities from windows in version 11.7 as many options were not relevant and non functional (intensity and profile).

Users mentioned that the “color” feature was of use to filter out the exterior light.

We therefore re-enabled light properties feature and kept the “color” option in V11.8.

V11.8 is therefor behaving the same way as V11.6 and earlier releases.
