How come I cannot export to dwg and dxf in V12 of 2020 Design, it sais “the feature isnt available yet using 64-bit desing”, but it was immediately available on 11! I need this to export my designs to Revit – if anyone has any advice as we switched to keep up with our branch offices who dont have to export to dwg yet.

Hello Brent,
You are correct. Exporting to AutoCAD was working on V11. In order to make V12 available to the market earlier, we had to postpone the support of some functionalities (include the export).
The good news is that we are about to release V12.1 which will include this functionality before the end of March.
An alternative would be to execute V11 (it can be installed alongside V12) and Copy/Paste your V12 projects into V11.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Thank you,

When can I expect the 12.1 release of 2020 to come out given current situation with COVID19?We are still plugging away on projects and Im curious if the dwg/dxf export will be available soon for 12?
I cannot open both 2020 v12 and v11 to copy/paste both – it gives me the error that only 1 2020 program can be open at once. -

Hi Brent,
There was a little delay with the release of v12.1 but it should be available as of May 1st, so keep your eyes open for that. 🙂
As per your issue copying/pasting from v11 to v12, the issue here is that you’re trying to open both programs at the same time. Here is exactly what you have to do to copy/paste from v12 to v11.
1. Open v12 and open the file you need to copy.
2. Copy the plan and close v12.
3. Open v11 and paste the design.
Follow these steps and you should be good! I hope this helped you out.
